EA-UK is again hosting a golf event for members and friends to network and enjoy leisurely day on the golf course.

EA-UK will be providing a light breakfast and 18 holes of Golf, followed by the prize-giving and afternoon refreshments in the club house.

These events have been very popular in the past so we encourage you to confirm your place as soon as possible due to the limited number of spaces available.

If your company would like to be involved in sponsoring the golf day, please contact David Rasmussen.

Event Report

A fantastic turnout saw 20 players battle it out for the glory of being the 2010 Engineers Australia UK Association Golf Champion. Dry, sunny conditions led to a high scoring day with plenty of scores in the 30’s. Obviously, the Aussie golfers were relishing the familiar bone-dry conditions and brown fairways. Unfortunately, on the day, there can be only two winners: - Kurt Forrester saw off some stiff competition in the men’s competition to hit par for his handicap with 36 points. - Meanwhile, in the women’s competition Elwyn Campbell repeated her 2008 effort to win, in style, with a fantastic 7 under par, 43 points! (I think the handicap committee will be taking a close look at that score next year!) - Runners up were Cameron McInnes and Tianca McHenry on 35 and 29 points respectively. Traditions golf club put on an excellent spread, which was warmly received, along with a cold drink, after a very warm day’s play. Engineers Australia UK would like to thank everyone for participating and contributing to an excellent day out, and we look forward to see you all again next year.
